2017 NFL Pro Bowl to Feature Events at Disney, Throughout Orlando During Weeklong Celebration

The 2017 Pro Bowl presented by Aquafina in Orlando, Fla. is much more than a game on Sunday; it’s a week-long celebration that unites and inspires the entire football community. In the week leading up to the game, the NFL will host events that will bring interactive fan experiences, youth and high school football competitions and a spirit of community to Orlando. Pro Bowl Week activities include: The NFL FLAG Championships and Punt, Pass and Kick National Championships Pro Bowl Skills Showdown Free access to AFC and NFC team practices NFL Pro Bowl Experience, a free, football-themed fan festival NFL PLAY 60 activities A series of community events with local nonprofit organizations and military personnel. All New Epcot International Festival of the Arts Debuts This Month at Walt Disney World Resort

Combining visual, culinary and performing arts from around the world, the first-ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts will create a global masterpiece for six inspired weekends. Held Fridays through Mondays starting Jan. 13 – Feb. 20, 2017, the Festival will feature new art each week, making each weekend original. Here’s a sample of what’s in store: From the pieces of Disney historical artist Mary Blair and Herb Ryman art of Epcot, to current Disney artists Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos, guests won’t only be surrounded by incredible visions, they’ll watch the creative process live. In the inaugural year of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, a collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions will bring an exciting new showcase of favorite music and Broadway talent to the America Gardens Theatre stage. Paraplegic Man Participates in First of Four Races During Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend - with VIDEO

Talk about overcoming the greatest of odds... Adam Gorlitsky, (Charleston, S.C.) took part in the Walt Disney World 5K on Thursday despite being paralyzed from the waist down. With a throng of spectators cheering him on along the way, Gorlitsky, 30, participated in a portion of the 5K with the use of a robotic suit that enables him to stand and walk. Gorlitsky lost his mobility 10 years ago when his spine was severed at the T9 level in a car accident. He was told by doctors that he would never walk again. But his prospects changed dramatically in recent years when he was chosen as a candidate for the wearable exoskeleton machine that allowed him to stand and walk again for the first time since the accident. Since April 2016, he has walked in a few races using the suit, challenging what it means to be a paraplegic. This weekend, Gorlitsky will participate in not one, but in parts of all four races of the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna.
