A Feast of Disney Tastes Featured on Thanksgiving Day

Walt Disney World Resort guests can indulge in a fresh take on an American tradition by enjoying their Thanksgiving feast Nov. 27, 2014 with a bounty of Disney tastes. With more than 30 different dining choices at Disney theme parks and resorts, families and friends can come together for a variety of Thanksgiving lunch and dinner offerings. Special holiday menus include roasted turkey breast with all the trimmings plus traditional Norwegian meatballs and pan-seared salmon at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, poppy seed lavash, house-made naan, and apple-cranberry achar at Sanaa, roasted heirloom beets with candied walnuts and mulled apple cider at Artist Point, and other unique dishes to enjoy with the holiday classics. Disney PhotoPass Service Simplifies Access to Walt Disney World Photos, Videos

With attraction photos, you can capture some amazing Disney moments. And now, Disney PhotoPass Service is making it even easier for you to collect those memories. Beginning today, if you’re wearing an active MagicBand on select Walt Disney World Resort attractions, your photos will be automatically associated to your My Disney Experience account. You don’t have to do anything. In fact, if you’ve worn your MagicBand on one of the participating attractions in the last 45 days, you should be able to find that photo in your account now. Don’t have a MagicBand? Don’t worry. Disney is making it easier for you, too. Today they turned on new touch points at Magic Kingdom Park (Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain). So after you ride, simply find your photo on the preview wall and touch your park ticket or Memory Maker card to the touch point to associate your photo. More of the Wintry Wonder and Magic of Disney’s “Frozen” Coming to Magic Kingdom This Holiday Season

Nightly beginning Nov. 5 in the Magic Kingdom, Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” will appear in a new show on the Forecourt Stage in front of Cinderella Castle in the heart of the park, as Queen Elsa uses her incredible powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a glistening ice palace for the holidays. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf also will join the festive procession “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” along with a flurry of skaters, skiers and ice cutters from the Kingdom of Arendelle. The parade is offered during the special-ticket Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, select nights November 7 – December 19, and each afternoon for park guests Dec. 20-31.

Morimoto Asia, BOATHOUSE Dining Experiences Coming to Disney Springs in 2015

Fresh from today's Disney Parks Blog - It was just announced that Chef Masaharu Morimoto, who many of you know from his appearances on Iron Chef America, is opening a one-of-a-kind dining experience in the heart of Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort. Morimoto Asia will be the Japanese master chef’s first-ever pan-Asian restaurant featuring flavors from across the continent. This Disney Springs dining destination will include unique exhibition kitchens showcasing traditions like Peking duck carving, and dim sum. “I’m very excited to bring this new concept to Disney, something I’ve always dreamed of,” said Chef Morimoto. “It’s a wonderful chance to share some of my favorite foods from across the Asian continent.” The two-story restaurant is scheduled to open in the Summer 2015 at The Landing (formerly Pleasure Island) in Disney Springs. Glow With the Show Evolves Into Made With Magic This Fall at Disney Parks

Disney has some exciting news to share about the next evolution of Glow With the Show. Introduced in 2012 at Disneyland Resort, this ear hat technology allowed guests to become a part of a show by lighting up in time with or in the same color scheme as a nighttime show or fireworks display. Last year, it was added to nighttime spectaculars at Walt Disney World Resort such as Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Wishes nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park. This fall, Disney is adding some new merchandise items that contain this interactive technology under a new name called “Made With Magic.” Made With Magic items will excite, delight, light up and interact with select Disney experiences at Disney Parks. They will continue to offer the original ear hat first introduced a few years ago. The “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!” Street Party is ready to make its debut at Magic Kingdom Park! This new version of the park’s popular Disney character street party brings with it new music and characters and new ways for you to become part of the show. The fun starts as a parade of giant gift boxes make their way down Main Street, U.S.A. toward the Central Plaza in front of Cinderella Castle. (56:53) out ran more than 15,000 runners and many of Disney’s scariest villains to win The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler race at Walt Disney World Resort on Saturday night. Lynn Baione from Jensen Beach, Fla. captured the women’s title, finishing with a time of 1:04:19 Saturday night. The legions of brave runners navigated their way along a course from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and then back again to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Along the way, runners trotted past the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show, along the New York Street on the backlot, past Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat at the top of Hollywood Boulevard, and then on to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction. Just two days before the first "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" the Magic Kingdom will premiere "A Frozen Holiday Wish" on November 5, 2014. Replacing "Cinderella's Holiday Wish" Queen Elsa from the hit Disney film "Frozen" will use her magical powers to help transform Cinderella Castle into a gorgeous and glistening ice palace for the Christmas holiday season.  Featuring well over 200,000 LED lights, the show will run nightly throughout the holidays.
