How MyMagic+ will work when it goes live later this year

Thanks to those familiar with the situation, there is now a much more complete picture of how the full  MyMagic+  experience will work when it goes live later this year at Walt Disney World. The exact details are changing fairly frequently and there will still likely be changes between now and the full launch. So remember, none of this information is set in stone. FASTPASS+ You will be able to make FASTPASS+ reservations 60 days out from arrival, plus 10 days, similar to resort reservation dining. The guest will select the park and the three preferred experiences. The system will then return up to 4 groups of availability from which to pick - early, mid day, late, or all day. Grouping of guests allows one My Disney Experience user to copy the details to others traveling in that party with same FASTPASS+ reservations. FASTPASS+ allows one park per day. Hollywood Studios Ride Closures for Fireworks (July 4)

Please be aware of the following in-park operational adjustments that will take place on July 4, 2013 due to the scheduled fireworks show that will be presented later in the evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios: There will be a fireworks show Thursday, July 4 at 10:15 p.m. above the Sorcerer’s Hat stage (the special events stage that was formerly used by the Disney Channel Rocks! performers). The show will consist of rooftop firing locations on The Great Movie Ride, One Man’s Dream and Voyage of The Little Mermaid. IN-PARK CLOSURES: Closures inside the park will consist of Pixar Avenue (including Toy Story Midway Mania and the surrounding area), the Studio Backlot Tour and The Great Movie Ride courtyard. Beach Parties at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Surf’s Up at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park with the grooviest dance party this side of Mt. Mayday. Starting June 24, guests of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park can enjoy a taste of the new Disney Channel Original Movie “Teen Beach Movie” as part of Limited Time Magic. Happening at various times throughout each day through Sept. 2, “Teen Beach Movie: Dance Party” features a hip DJ spinning remixes of retro tunes, beach-themed games and some really rad “bikers” and “surfers” to party with guests as they dance away the dog days. Disney has announced that the 'Long-Lost Disney Friends' character meet and greets will be returning for a second event as part of Limited Time Magic.   This time you get to help choose the returning characters by  placing your vote on the official Disney Parks Blog site . No time-frame for when the event will take place has yet be announced. Independence Week at Walt Disney World Resort: All Part of Limited Time Magic

Disney Parks guests can get their red, white and blue on for an entire week during a special tribute to the stars and stripes with Independence Week July 1-7, 2013 — all part of Limited Time Magic at Walt Disney World Resort. It’s a seven-day patriotic extravaganza as Disney Parks honor America with a Fourth of July celebration like never before. At Magic Kingdom, a 15-minute 360-degree fireworks spectacular rockets into the air every night with ”Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” Guests can enjoy a patriotic spectacle as Goofy, Donald and Pluto lead a spirited procession down Main Street, U.S.A, prior to the daily Celebrate a Dream Come True parade at Magic Kingdom. Limited Time Magic - Monster's U Dance Party and Pep Rally!

Next week's Limited Time Magic brings a Monsters U Dance Party and Pep Rally to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The fun starts on June 14 at the Sorcerer Hat Stage. Here is the full info from Disney. Nintendo Wii U tour arrives at Downtown Disney starting today

Nintendo is visiting Downtown Disney this month to promote the Wii U console and the upcoming Disney Infinity platform coming this August. The Nintendo tour opens today and is located near Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney's Marketplace until June 23 2013. Also part of the experience is a photo opportunity with Mario and Luigi. Downtown Disney Revs Up for Car Masters Weekend June 15-16

Car Masters Weekend, now in its third year, is the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day as Downtown Disney West Side hosts a classic car show with a modern twist June 15-16, 2013. A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas Launches at Magic Kingdom Park

A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas has officially set sail at Magic Kingdom Park. Inspired by the popular “ Pirates of the Caribbean ” film franchise, this interactive quest lets you turn into one of Captain Jack’s pirate recruits, arms you with magic talismans and treasure maps, and lets you embark on one of five different pirate raids throughout Adventureland. The task is to prove your pirate worth by collecting valuable treasures while fending off some of Captain Jack’s enemies, including the Royal Navy and Captain Barbossa.
