The Disney Hotels located inside the Walt Disney World Resort will experience a system outage on December 3, 2012. This may cause some issues when trying to make reservations or when buying tickets. Here is a copy of the letter that Disney Hotel Guests will receive in their room:
December 2012
Dear Walt Disney World Resort Guest,
Thank you for choosing our Walt Disney World Resort hotel as your vacation destination. To continue to flourish as a magical destination, it is necessary for us to make enhancements from time to time. As a result, beginning 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, we will receive computer system enhancements that are anticipated to be completed later in the day on Tuesday, December 4.
To assist in making your vacation experience as seamless as possible during our system enhancements, please note the following:
- If you would like to make a dining reservation for Monday, December 3 or Tuesday, December 4, we recommend you do so by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2.
- Should you wish to cancel or modify your dinner reservations for Monday, or Tuesday, please do so by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2.
- Please pick up any Monday, December 3 dinner show reservation tickets (e.g., Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show or Mickey’s Backyard BBQ) at the Front Desk by 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
- Should you wish to purchase or upgrade existing Magic Your Way and Cirque du Soleil La Nouba™ tickets from our resort hotel, you will want to do so prior to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3. Though ticket purchases can also be made at our theme parks for park admission and at the Cirque du Soleil Box Office for show admission, you will want to allow extra time as you may experience longer wait times at these locations. (A special note for Guests who qualify for group/convention tickets: you may purchase these tickets at the Guest Relations locations at the four theme parks.)
Should you have any questions, please contact the Front Desk [of your resort]. Once again, thank you for being our Guest and we wish you a magical stay.
Sincerely,
The Cast of Walt Disney World Resort
